BRING YOUR GROUP
Transform your students’ learning experience with an engaging field trip to Sumter Museum facilities. Field trips for schools and home school groups are always free, whether you visit one or all of our facilities. To schedule your group’s field trip, please fill out this contact us form or call 803-775-0908. Please schedule at least two weeks in advance.
Unable to bring your group to the museum in person? Contact us about scheduling a museum employee to visit your school, organization, or other group. We can present a variety of programs for all age groups.
RENT A COLONIAL COSTUME
Do you need a colonial costume for a school program or other event? Colonial costumes are available for a $25 rental fee. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
ARCHIVAL RESEARCH
Sumter Museum has an extensive archival collection consisting of manuscripts, plats, photographs, books, and more. We welcome researchers but ask that you make an appointment to visit. Please fill out the Contact us form for questions regarding research and appointments or call 803-775-0908.
LENDING LIBRARY
Holocaust Lending Library: We have class sets of five Holocaust related books: Number the Stars, The Diary of a Young Girl, Night, Maus I, and Maus II available for teachers to check out. These sets include lesson plans geared toward state standards. Contact us to reserve a set to use with your students.
